Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota announces its commitment to the national Fair Chance Business Pledge, joining major companies as a founding partner to improve communities by eliminating barriers for people with criminal records to experience the power of work.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar honored with Goodwill-Easter Seals Policymaker Award

Goodwill Industries International honored Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar as a recipient of its Goodwill Policymaker Award for 2016. Klobuchar was nominated by Goodwill-Easter Seals for her commitment to the nonprofit sector. Having a bi-partisan energy efficiency bill that works to help nonprofits save money through energy efficiency, Klobuchar is a champion for the nonprofit sector. She led the Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Act, which would provide $10 million each year for the next five years to create a pilot grant program at the U.S. Department of Energy to help nonprofits make their buildings more energy efficient.
Boyd Brown advocates for low-income families at Congress

Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota had a unique opportunity in July. We were able to advocate for low-income families at the national level, in front of Congress. Boyd Brown, Area Director for Employment & Training, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Subcommittee on Human Resources. He was there to discuss the impact that welfare reform has on the people who receive assistance. As a provider of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) services since 1997, Goodwill-Easter Seals is able to draw on many personal stories of lives impacted by the programs and policies set in place by Washington.
